Frequently asked questions

Are the Grazier boots waterproof ?

The Grazier boot is made from a one piece leather with no seams to allow water ingress. The leather is oiled but it must be frequently treated with a waterproof leather conditioner to keep them waterproof.

Is the Kelling tweed jacket water repellent?

All our tweeds are treated with a Teflon type chemical which makes the rain run off the wool. This would keep you dry in a shower but not a continual downpour!

Is the ladies Canterbury coat suitable for riding?

We didn’t cut a saddle swatch in the Canterbury as the Carlisle has all the necessary features for riding but we are considering developing a new ladies riding coat.

What guarantee is there with Gumleaf wellies?

We are constantly working with rubber technicians to produce the perfect supple and durable rubber boot. We are extremely proud of our very low returns – shops like selling our product as it doesn’t let the customer down. In the very rare case where a boot is faulty we will replace it if it has not provided much use. We do take into account the age of the boots and the amount of wear.

This hat is a present for my husband, what do I do if it doesn’t fit?

Do I need to have a size larger for thick socks in the wellies?

The neoprene lining in the wellies is warm with 4mm neoprene on the shaft and 5mm neoprene on the sole. Thick socks are not needed in most conditions so order your boots to your correct foot size. The cotton lined boot still have a 5mm neoprene sole for padding and warmth

Yes, it is important that if you get the Australian leather hats wet you let them dry at ambient temperature – no radiators or airing cupboards. If it dries too quickly it could shrink. It is possible to re size the hat by wetting the leather again and packing it tightly with cloth to stretch it
