Boot Care Guide
How to Care for Your Gumleaf Boots
With the right care, your Gumleaf Boots will stay looking their best and last for years. Follow these five simple steps to keep your natural rubber wellingtons in great condition.
1. Clean After Use
After a muddy day outdoors, rinse your boots with water to remove mud, grit and urine. For stubborn marks, use a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh detergents and chemicals, which can dry out or erode the natural rubber.
2. Let Them Dry Naturally
Allow your boots to dry naturally at room temperature after every use. Keep them away from radiators, fires and other direct sources of heat, as excessive heat can cause natural rubber to dry out and crack.
3. Store Them Properly
Store your boots somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. Avoid leaving them in a hot car or damp shed for long periods. Keeping them upright will also help maintain their shape.
4. Give Them a Little Extra Care
Natural rubber benefits from regular conditioning. Apply Gumleaf Boot Care using
a soft cloth, paying particular attention to areas that bend and flex. Our welly oil helps nourish the rubber, keeping it supple and helping to prevent it from drying out and cracking prolonging the life of your boots.
